Before working with Devon, I felt overwhelmed often, lacked strategies for tackling the challenging moments and I wasn’t able to enjoy my kids.
Instead of taking what felt like the easy way out, I learned new strategies to replace the ones I wasn’t comfortable with. Now, I’m now able to take space between the situation and my response to it. Rather than having an automatic response, I can pause and make a choice I am happy with.
I can now remain compassionate with my son when he is having a hard time. My first job is to show him I care and I am able to help him work through his big emotions.
As a bonus, I gained knowledge that I need to take care of myself, in order to best take care of everyone else.
Devon is a very thoughtful listener who often reflected back what I said and re-framed it – to allow me to hear it again. It felt like therapy talking to her. Parenting is an enormous growth and learning experience. Working with a parenting coach offered me essential support, guidance, and accountability. Devon gently guided me and always followed up to see how is working for us.

Previously interactions with my son led to constant conflict which was escalating and having an impact on the entire family. I thought I had tried every approach. Since nothing was working, I felt rather defeated.
Through working with Devon, I gained a better understanding of my own triggers as well as how to really listen and connect with both of my kids. Part of the conflict was my outlook on what I thought our relationship should be vs examining what I was truly communicating with my words and actions. I know there is a reason for all behavior and Devon helped me get to the bottom of it. Every day is a new opportunity to connect.
Devon was very understanding and empowered me to take action. I gained lessons I can use for a lifetime! We all have challenges and I feel that every parent can benefit from this type of coaching. I wish everyone had the opportunity to have this type of coaching. I was skeptical at first and now I wish I had done it earlier! You have helped my family so much. Thank you for making a difference in the world.

“My biggest challenge is acknowledging my own emotions and offering connection during tantrums. By working with Devon, I was able to gain techniques on how to connect with myself and my son to prevent tantrums from becoming meltdowns, often times diffusing it all together.
Devon is kind and truly invested in helping. You feel like you have a true resource with vast experience in your corner.
Now, I feel much more empowered to be the kind of mom I feel my son deserves.”

Before working with Devon, “I was getting angry at my son very easily and not having the connection I would like to have. I felt discouraged, overwhelmed and like a “mean mom.”
Devon is great at giving personalized suggestions to help you better your relationship with your child. She has helped me learn to give myself some grace and recognize that I am human and I will still make mistakes. She is very positive and respectful and can be a fresh set of eyes in tough situations.
I feel more motivated and have new tools to improve my parenting. I’m more mindful of the little moments throughout the day when I could build up my son and increase our connection.”

My work with Devon “gave me more tools to work with when creating a boundary within which my son could express himself. Simply the recognition that my son’s actions aren’t done deliberately or out of disrespect, they’re done out of an inability to communicate, made me less hard on myself.
I now feel more capable, confident and willing to learn more!
Devon listened, pulled from past experience and asked questions to lead me towards some realizations about myself! Working with her was as therapeutic for me as it was instructive!
There’s no shame in utilizing parent coaching. Talking with someone who is educated and skilled in effective parenting & communication w/ toddlers is not always possible, so when you have the opportunity to work with Devon – take it.!”

Before meeting Devon, “I was struggling with implementing positive parenting strategies with two toddlers. It was hard to manage both when they each are experiencing their own big emotions at the same time. I knew I was missing something. I was lacking consistency and patience.
Devon has helped me shift towards being curious and proactive as well as advocating for and validating myself. Now, I feel more confident.
Devon is gentle, supportive and is NOT judgemental at all. She really took the time to listen, to mirror back to make sure she understood what I was trying to express, and to help me get the most out of our time together. “
